Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have been forced to cancel a second show on their world tour due to Krauss contracting flu.

The pair were due to perform at the Royal Park Live festival in Baarn, Netherlands on July 10 but pulled out hours beforehand, forcing the entire day’s programming at the festival to be cancelled.

“Robert Plant & Alison Krauss canceled,” a statement from the festival on Facebook read (according to Facebook’s automated translation). “Although the preparation by the crew of Robert Plant and Alison Krauss has already started, we unfortunately have to inform you that due to Alison Kraus’ illness the performance will not take place.”

“Due to the cancellation of our main act and unable to find a suitable replacement in time, we are unfortunately forced to cancel all of today’s programming. Do you own a ticket? Then don’t come to the festival grounds at Palace Soestdijk. All ticket buyers will receive more information via email within two weeks regarding further processing and refund.”

Plant and Krauss are next scheduled to perform on July 13 at the Montreux Jazz Festival in Montreux, Switzerland.

The cancellation of the July 10 performance is the second recent Plant and Krauss show to be cancelled after they pulled out of their July 8 show in Belgium only minutes before they were due on stage.

The cancellation of the July 8 and July 10 shows comes after Plant and Krauss were forced to end their June 16 performance in Atlanta, Georgia after only four songs due to severe weather. The show was rescheduled to September 6.

  1. I hope Alison Krauss kicks that flu bug’s ass and feels healthy soon. It’s always been my opinion that Robert Plant has the greatest singing voice of all time and I will always feel the same. Plant and Krauss are a dynamic singing duo and I wish them both continued success and God’s blessings. Rock on!
