Led Zeppelin is building on the popularity of “Becoming Led Zeppelin” by paying for social media adverts to promote “Whole Lotta Love”, LedZepNews has found.
Starting on February 19, the official Led Zeppelin Facebook and Instagram pages launched a series of adverts promoting the song “Whole Lotta Love”, public data in Facebook’s Ad Library shows.
“You Need Cooling, Baby, I’m Not Fooling,” the adverts read. “Whole Lotta Love from Led Zeppelin II”
The adverts direct people to streaming services to listen to “Whole Lotta Love”, helping to increase the song’s popularity after it was featured in “Becoming Led Zeppelin”.
Chart data shows that “Whole Lotta Love” has enjoyed a boost in streams and sales following the release of “Becoming Led Zeppelin” on February 5.
Earlier this month, the song reached number 9 on the Billboard Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart, according to a Forbes report.

Google Trends data analysed by LedZepNews shows a significant increase in Google Search interest in the US for the song following the release of “Becoming Led Zeppelin”.
Led Zeppelin’s decision to promote “Whole Lotta Love” through Facebook adverts comes despite the band’s continued social media silence. The group hasn’t posted any public updates to its official social media channels since September 2023.
The official Led Zeppelin Facebook page did not post about the release of “Becoming Led Zeppelin” and the page ignored the fiftieth anniversary of the release of Physical Graffiti, despite previously marking the fiftieth anniversary of the release of the band’s first five albums between 2019 and 2023.
Presumably there was also some boost to those streaming numbers after the Super Bowl ad by Nike…
