LedZepNews has published 22 previously unseen photographs of Led Zeppelin performing in Dallas, Texas on May 18, 1973 after we purchased the images through eBay along with LedZepFilm.
The photographs were taken by concert attendee Judy Kennedy who then sold her collection of photographs on eBay earlier this month.
“Every time Led Zepplin was in Ft. Worth on a Friday and Dallas on Saturday I made the trips in my 68 Camaro,” Kennedy said in an email.
The previously unseen photographs provide a close-up look of Led Zeppelin on stage.
All of the photographs are now able to view on the LedZepNews Flickr page. You can view all of the concert photographs in the album here. Click the arrows below to move through the images.
Love them still!
Saw their 71 and 73 tours. Chicago Stadium in 1971 or early 1972! Blue sunshine!!! 3 times stronger than the orange!! What a performance!
Saw them in 72 on orange. Not as special as seeing them straight in 70 and 73.
The orange made it seemed like “when are they going to do something exciting?”
In fact, they seemed tired.
I’ve been a fan since I was 13, and i sill am at 67. (HINT) We need some more live shows, just in case you read this Jimmy.
Never saw a band as good live ever again.
I was at that and many other Texas LZ tours routinely 1 row center because the stations helped sponsor the gigs.I worked for Dallas underground station K-NUS 1969-‘73 before moving to pioneering progressive FM station KZEW “The Zoo”during 1973-‘77 before moving on to promoting gigs 1979-‘93 & as usual we got interviews, All Access passes & front row seating for all tours that came through D/FW & every major or up & coming artists made stops in Dallas because at the time Dallas was home to all major labels who had branch offices in the city & Dallas was the major distribution center of the entire southwest USA. Anyway, 1973 was the final decent LZ tour because following LZ4 & HOTH the band lost direction both in the studio & on stage. Good but not great show.
share the LZ interview!
I had tickets for their performance they were to give at Pontica stadium but then tragedy stuck never got to see them
maybe 1973 was there last best year without any set backs 1974 they spent the year recording physical graffiti 1975 back on the road then after earls court the nightmare began interesting comment from RLD seems hes not a big fan of the last 3 studio albums
