Unrestored pro-shot footage of Led Zeppelin performing in Amsterdam on October 5, 1969 will be broadcast on Dutch television on December 10, it has been announced.

Dutch television show “Top 2000: The Untold Stories” will broadcast footage of Led Zeppelin performing “Dazed and Confused” in 1969 as part of the show’s December 10 episode on NPO 3.

The footage is the same archive material that was restored for the deluxe Blu-ray release of “Becoming Led Zeppelin”, however the December 10 broadcast will use the unrestored version of the performance.

Along with the footage, the episode will apparently include an interview with Jimmy Page. “The filmmakers also spoke with founder and guitarist Jimmy Page, who reflects on his early years with the band,” an announcement of the episode said, according to an English translation.

It’s unclear whether the interview is a new conversation with Page or archive footage. “Top 2000” previously interviewed Page in 2014.

The deluxe Blu-ray version of “Becoming Led Zeppelin” had been scheduled to be released on September 30, but has been delayed and remains unreleased.

  1. I don’t get it. Does the current physical release of Becoming on BR feature the Amsterdam footage or not?

  2. Here in America I can’t find the deluxe edition of B-zeppelin. The store I go to buy DVD has a UK version that can’t be played on a regular DVD. This release has been a complete disaster.

  3. Nah! Keep it in the movie theaters in IMAX there is now a new AMC theater in Chicago Illinois that reopened that features an IMAX like screening room, complete with stadium seats please bring back Becoming Led Zeppelin via fathom entertainment?
