A video of Robert Plant’s October 8, 2016 Festival of Disruption performance at the Ace Hotel in Los Angeles is being released on DVD, Blu-ray, and digital download.
Plant performed at David Lynch’s Festival of Disruption in 2016, and eight tracks are now being released through Eagle Rock Entertainment on “Live at David Lynch’s Festival of Disruption.”
The eight tracks included were previously shown on AXS TV on March 5.
Proceeds from the sale of the DVD will go towards the David Lynch Foundation, which promotes Transcendental Meditation to children.
The DVD is available to pre-order on Amazon US and Amazon UK for a February 9 release, and the show will be released on iTunes on January 12.
Here’s the tracklist of the DVD:
Poor Howard
Turn It Up
Black Dog
Medley: The Enchanter / Rainbow
Babe, I’m Gonna Leave You
Little Maggie
Medley: Hoochie Coochie Man / Whole Lotta Love / Mona
Going To California
This release leaves out two songs that Plant played at the show: “What Is And What Should Never Be” and “Fixin’ To Die.”
The DVD also includes the following bonus features:
David Lynch On Creativity
David Lynch On Meditation
David Lynch On Music
The Blu-ray version is only available in Japan and won’t be released elsewhere, according to Ward Records. LedZepNews has contacted Eagle Rock Entertainment for clarification on whether the Blu-ray release will come to the US or Europe in the future.
Here’s the release schedule:
January 12 – The show will be released on iTunes.
January 31 – The show will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in Japan.
February 9 – The show will be released on DVD in the US and Europe.
Rather bizarrely, Robert Plant’s social media pages and website are not promoting the release. It’s not for sale in his online shop, and his Twitter and Facebook pages haven’t posted about the DVD.
