Pat Bonham, the wife of Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, is now “on the mend” and has been discharged from hospital following a recent health scare, her son Jason Bonham has announced.

Jason Bonham cancelled his upcoming tour dates in August and flew to the UK amid rumours that his mother had become unwell.

Posting on Instagram on November 4, Bonham announced his return to live performances and gave an update on his mother’s health.

Here’s Bonham’s full statement:

I wanted to take a moment to explain my absence over the past few weeks. As many of you know, my mother has been facing some serious health issues, and it’s been an incredibly challenging time for our family. I’m grateful to share that she’s on the mend and has been discharged from the hospital! She’s now home and recovering, which brings me immense relief.

It was truly difficult to step away from the Best of All Worlds tour with only four shows left. The energy, the connections, and the experiences were nothing short of incredible, but my priority had to be with my mother during her fight for life.

I’m excited to announce that JBLZE will be back on tour starting November 19th! I can’t wait to see all of you and share this journey together once more. Thank you for your understanding and love. See you soon! Much love, JB

    Dear Jason,

I hope this message finds you well. I am truly relieved to hear that your mother is feeling better and has been discharged from the hospital. My thoughts and prayers are with her during her recovery.

As a lifelong fan of Led Zeppelin, I am reaching out to see if you might be open to a brief meeting when I attend your concert on Friday, November 23rd, at the Fox Theater in Detroit. I am currently working as a special education teacher while navigating some significant health challenges, including cancer and stage 4 chronic kidney disease. Meeting you and the band would mean a great deal to me and could provide some comfort as I prepare for my upcoming surgery.

If a meeting isn’t feasible, I would greatly appreciate it if you could consider dedicating a song to me during the performance. My favorite track is “Thank You,” which has always held a special place in my heart and serves as a source of healing for me.

Regardless of the outcome, I am genuinely looking forward to enjoying the concert and am grateful for the talent that you and your band bring to our lives.

Thank you for considering my request, and I wish continued health to your mother.

    Warm regards,

    Keely Miller
