A new clip from “Becoming Led Zeppelin” includes incorrect information about an early Led Zeppelin show, falsely claiming in text shown on screen that the band’s March 17, 1969 performance recorded for Danish television was filmed at a school.
Sony Pictures Classics, the film’s US distributor, published a new clip from the film online on January 24.
The clip shows John Paul Jones recalling his decision to join Led Zeppelin, remarking: “When I told my colleagues and the people that employed me that I’m giving up session work and I’m going to join a rock and roll band, everybody said ‘You’re mad, you’re completely crazy.'”

The clip then shows Led Zeppelin performing “How Many More Times” from the group’s performance filmed at TV-Byen in Gladsaxe, Denmark on March 17, 1969.
On-screen text shown in the clip reads: “Teen Club” and “Gladsaxe, Denmark”, however, a mistaken reference to the site of Led Zeppelin’s first show on September 7, 1968 at the Teen Club held at Egegaard Skole where the band performed again on March 15, 1969.
Jerry Ritz, the tour manager for Led Zeppelin’s 1968 and 1969 Scandinavian tours, confirmed the film clip’s mistake in a comment beneath this LedZepNews article. “The filmclip from march 1969 is not from Teen Club Gladsaxe it’s recorded at Danmarks Radio/Television TV-Byen Søborg, Denmark. I was there as Led Zeppelins Scandinavian tourmanager,” he wrote.
Sony doubled down on its identification of the footage as originating from the school, writing on social media: “Robert Plant introduces @LedZeppelin before performing “How Many More Times” at a Teen Club in Gladzaxe Denmark March 17, 1969.”
It’s unclear how the error originated, although it’s possible the filmmakers were confused by some online copies of the TV-Byen footage. A YouTube video of the show uploaded by Led Zeppelin Rarities in 2016 also mistakenly states that the TV appearance was filmed at the Gladsaxe Teen Club.
I will see the movie, but would much prefer to hear Jimmy’s next year project
When will hear your magic again Jimmy. A of your fans have waited decades for it

as a big fan ,I will watch it I hope there’s something new, because practically every article about Zeppelin has to cover there history before getting to the HEADLINE ,that isn’t new really.
I don’t think page is releasing any new material, if he was we’d be reading about every other day. It’s quite amazing how the 3 surviving members are still alive and the press aren’t accusing them of making a deal with the devil, as one observer said back when they were under attack in the 80 s ,that the devil doesn’t need help with rock n roll fans, which is a fair claim..lol..
I Jimmy would shut up and Play his Guitar !
Was/is/always be that rock band music that shows individual and collective talent never seen together. Looking forward to the movie.
is page still dangling carrots again
Zep in the world of AI and sanitizing whst was far from clean and neat. Lol.
