Robert Plant made a surprise performance with Deborah Bonham’s band at Fairport Convention’s Cropredy Convention on August 9, joining them on stage to perform “Ramble On” and “Thank You”.
Plant joined the band on stage in an unannounced performance, with his Saving Grace bandmates Suzi Dian and Matt Worley as well as Fairport Convention’s Dave Pegg also joining the group for the surprise.
Plant has been a regular attendee of the Cropredy festival. He previously performed “The Battle of Evermore” at the event in 2008.
Making surprise appearances with Bonham’s band is a regular pasttime for Plant. He joined them on stage on February 2, 2024 in Blackpool to perform “The Lemon Song”, “Money (That’s What I Want)” and “Ramble On”.
He also joined the group to perform “When the Levee Breaks” in Worcester on March 17, 2017 and also joined them on stage in Hereford on April 30, 2016.
I saw Credence Clearwater Revival for 50 bucks General admission and was 2nd row.
In 1965/66 at the Adelphi Ballroom in West Bromwich a couple walked passed me. He was blonde and bronzed, she was dark and exotic. Hypnotic and magnetic was their appearance, you couldn’t take your eyes off them. Like a black and white photograph come alive. Exact negatives of each other. Robert and Maureen. Forever in my minds eye.
