A group of John Bonham’s clothes sold for £40,200 at auction

A group of items of clothing previously owned and worn by John Bonham sold for £40,200 at auction in the UK on November 27.

UK auction house Fieldings Auctioneers sold five items of clothing on behalf of Allan Weaver, who married the sister of Pat Bonham.

A brown leather jacket previously owned by Bonham sold for £15,300, far above its estimate of between £2,000 and £3,000. A blue velvet suit sold for £3,800, above its estimate of between £1,500 and £2,000.

A white Western-style shirt sold for £12,200, far above its estimate of between £1,000 and £1,500. A grey and black shirt sold for £4,700, above its estimate of between £800 and £1,200, while a black shirt sold for £4,200, above its estimate of between £800 and £1,200.

The same seller and auction house sold a suit previously owned by Bonham for £6,500 in September.
