LedZepNews has published six previously unseen photographs of Led Zeppelin performing at Madison Square Garden in New York on July 28, 1973.
The photographs were jointly purchased on eBay by LedZepFilm and LedZepNews earlier this month in order to release them online for fans to enjoy.
You can view all of the photographs in this Flickr album which is also embedded below. Click the left and right arrows to move through the photos:
The identity of the photographer who shot the images is unknown. We purchased a set of negatives that did not come with any identifying information, although prints of these images and other negatives not included in the lot have circulated among Led Zeppelin fans for years.
Along with the photographs from 1977, the lot also included this image of Led Zeppelin performing in Cental Park in New York on July 21, 1969:
It also included this photograph of Jimmy Page while a member of The Yardbirds, likely while touring the US:
A possible source of the images is Lori Fujii, a Chicago-based Led Zeppelin fan who took photographs of the band performing in Chicago in May 1969. Other shots taken by Fujii were previously sold by the same seller.
Are you able to share any information on these images, either the date or location of the Yardbirds-era shot of Page or the photographer behind the images? Please get in touch with us at ledzepnews@gmail.com
