Robert Plant and Alison Krauss released a cover of “When The Levee Breaks” on June 7, sharing a live recording of them covering the track during a recent tour.

It’s unclear when exactly the live recording dates from, although it sounds like it’s from their recent Raise The Roof tour in either 2022 or 2023.

Plant and Krauss have frequently played the song live, although those versions often stretch beyond eight minutes long. This official live release fades out just before four minutes in.

This is the first music to be released by Plant and Krauss following the release of their second album Raise The Roof on November 19, 2021.

You can hear an uncut live version of the song from Plant and Krauss’ June 24, 2022 Glastonbury Festival performance in the UK here, although this is a different recording to the official live release:

Plant and Krauss spoke to Billboard, USA Today and NPR ahead of the resumption of their world tour earlier this month.
