Upgraded footage of Led Zeppelin performing at Knebworth Festival in the UK on August 4, 1979 has been released online by LedZepFilm.

The footage was shot by Ron Huban and circulated amongst Led Zeppelin fans for years as one of the only ways to enjoy the first Knebworth performance before the 2003 release of Led Zeppelin’s DVD containing official footage of the concert.

  1. The camera man who worked this show this for the legendary Led Zeppelin should be scolded. This bootleg film off the 8mm camera proves my point I had with friends about how they super close to the face of Plant instead of doing wide shots of the band and the stage effects? Showco lighting did the lighting effects for these two concerts, this film you can’t even see.

  2. im sure page would like to put the two shows out on a dvd bluray if he had the chance but there would be a certain person who would block it

    • You mean Robert Plant would block it ? Huge zeppelin fan and always enjoy when rare cuts of these are found. Lucky before I got old saw Plant several times then Jimmy with Paul Rogers and finally in 96 Jimmy and Robert in Cleveland ✊

  3. Music of the 70s is legendary kids now are playing it like we.used.too that’s Funny

  4. I was there

  5. I agree with Robert. The entire filmed show was shabby. A shame indeed.
They did get one thing right. Robert Plant’s voice is a divine instrument.

    • Are u people kidding this is the greatest band ever I repeat Ever why not let people see them and half u people have no clue what Led Zeppelin ment to Clevelanders who missed out 1980 Richfield coliseum show because John Henry never made it so well take any scrap of film footage

  6. Robert was spot on when commenting on how long and boring the band’s solo events were. He’s 100 💯 percent correct. Why didn’t Jimmy realize how 30 min organ and drum solos hurt the band’s show? His guitar solos were at least interesting but a half hour of drumming? Worse, a half hour of organ and piano?? My lord!!

  7. Sería interesante conocer pormenores de Led Zeppelin en 1978. Gracias

  8. replt to mr riley maybe thats why when they played europe in 1980 all stuff went out the window and they played it lean and mean had they got to america and done the same wonder how fans would have reacted about only having only 2 hours of led zeppelin on stage

  9. I have never been fond of long solos if they do not keep the flavor of the song. A solo just for a solo is never a good idea
