For me seeing “Becoming Led Zeppelin” in an IMAX theater with the sound system cranked up to a volume that many people would find to be intolerable was an experience that was nothing of amazing. I mean I had already seen most of the live footage before, but the way they pieced everything together made the time line easy to follow. From the time before the band was formed, to how the band came together, to the very first few live unbelievable performances, this film is just brilliant. The interviews, were full of stories that even a long time Zeppelin fan like my self had not heard, or read before. As far as the live performances are concerned, I’ll just say that the live footage in this film leaves little to the imagination as to why Led Zeppelin became so damn popular, so incredibly fast, and is why “Led Zeppelin” is regarded to be one of the best rock bands of all time.
