Led Zeppelin will release a new live EP in September

Live EP

Led Zeppelin will release a new four-track live EP on CD, vinyl and streaming services on September 12, it was announced today.

The band’s new release, titled Live E.P., contains four live recordings previously released on the band’s 2003 DVD box set.

Here’s the tracklist of the new EP:

  • In My Time Of Dying (Earl’s Court – 1975) (11:25)
  • Trampled Under Foot (Earl’s Court – 1975) (9:06)
  • Sick Again (Knebworth – 1979) (5:18)
  • Kashmir (Knebworth – 1979) (9:02)

“These live performances were originally released on the 2003 Led Zeppelin DVD and appear on CD / Vinyl / Digital formats for the very first time,” the band’s announcement reads.

“Trampled Under Foot” from Live E.P. has already been released on streaming services and in a new video:

The band will also re-release its latest 2015 remaster of Physical Graffiti which will now include a new promotional poster. Like the EP, this will be released on September 12.

In an email to subscribers to the band’s mailing list sent on July 25, Led Zeppelin announced that: “Customers who order a copy of these titles from the Official Led Zeppelin Store or Warner Stores internationally will receive a replica 16-page 1975 Earl’s Court Tour Programme (29.5cm x 21cm). While supplies last. Offers may vary in each store.”

Led Zeppelin’s announcement saw the band break its public silence which has lasted since September 2023.

  1. Yea, hows about a live dvd of the knebworth gig…

  2. Great news by keep me informed of all issues.

  3. I believe the release live Knebworth gig on Blu-Ray/DVD will be very exciting…..

  4. forget that becoming of dated hype this is more like it maybe this is the dawn of more zep archive releases coming out in the near future a very welcome issue of these 4 mega tracks on vinyl and cd looking forward to owning them BRING IT ON HOME

  5. I’m disappointed it’s only 4 tracks that technically anyone could already have… buy DVD, record the audio, burn it to CD. Even if you’re completely unaware of the bootleg world. But… as another commenter said, this IS more like it. I hope this is a sign of things to come, like a complete Earls Court, or a complete Knebworth.

  6. Sounds like someone starts one or two BPMs faster than the orig vers and the rest of the band have no choice but to keep up the too fast beat. Either that, or someone needing loo and hurrying through before they have an accident!

Great news, but a bit of a teaser really. Why couldn’t they just put a full live album out. One of the Earls Court dates would be amazing. The full package, Vinyl, CD and the Concert on Blu Ray/DVD. Now that would be something to look forward to.

  8. Am I the only one that thinks Becoming Led Zeppelin truly sucked?? Anything Zeppelin is absolutely awesome except that botched movie. It could have been great but it wasn’t even that interesting or anything that wasn’t already seen or known!!

  9. Live @ Knebworth! …A live DVD would be amazing (might even spot a ‘younger me in the masses) 😉

Anyone ever stop to think that maybe John “bonzo” Bonham (drummer) could be making music (in the after-life) with Kurt Cobain and the guy from sound garden and 0zzy Osborne and randy rhoads… and tom petty and others.

  16. Already have the full albums bought in 1983

  17. Plant needs to go full circle & move on, not go back, but move forward to Led Zeppelin, & write more epics akin to Kashmir. He has a whole wealth of experience to tap into!

I get the feeling that Plant is really just over anything led Zeppelin and just wants to live out the rest of his life like a regular guy and “act his age” which kinda makes sense to me, but can’t he just understand that we,his fans just selfishly want-NEED more Zeppelin? I mean when Page and Coverdale did shake my tree I was like “this is really good but where is Robert plant? I don’t give a crap how old they are! And Page still had that drive to put one last album together as led Zeppelin but plant was over it. Nothing against Plant as this happens to lots of guys from great, AMAZING bands. If I were a hypnotist I would befriend Plant and hypnotize him into thinking it was 1970 and then…No I wouldn’t but I can dream can’t I?!!!!

Someday, I’d love have the board recording of the long acoustic set you did at oakland 7/23/1977 That sure would be a treasure. Thanks Jimmy!!!

    • Why don’t you want a polished, mutitracked entire show of the 21st???
Wow, people are baffling. The No Quarter from the 23rd is the highlight of the night, the best and longest of all time, so why leave that out?
