Robert Plant told Howard Stern about the time Led Zeppelin ate The Who’s food after a show

Robert Plant’s promotional tour for his new solo album “Carry Fire” continues, and October 17 saw Plant interviewed by Howard Stern.

Stern mentioned “Tommy,” the 1969 album by The Who, and Plant said that he had a story about that album and its tour.

“I looked a little bit like Roger Daltrey but a bit taller,” Plant said, before adding “sorry Roger!”

“We went to see Tommy at the Fillmore, Zep. And it got to the point where it was time for an encore or something like that so we jumped in the cars and we went to Max’s Kansas City,” Plant said.

“We walked in the door and they said ‘wow, you’re early!’ And we said ‘yeah, yeah, it was an early show.’ So we went in and ate all the band’s food and ran away.”

  1. Omg. That’s an interesting story, Robert. Was it delicious or what? Bad boys weren’t you? Seriously though, did you know that you were eating their dinner?
