Led Zeppelin has escalated its legal battle against sellers of counterfeit band merchandise, launching a series of simultaneous lawsuits in an attempt to remove listings for unauthorised items like T-shirts and posters.

This week alone, Led Zeppelin filed two new lawsuits in Illinois which target international sellers who ship bootleg merchandise to the US.

Led Zeppelin has filed six lawsuits in 2026 so far, making this year Led Zeppelin’s most litigious period to date.

In March, LedZepNews reported that Led Zeppelin’s lawyers have launched a global legal battle against sellers of items that don’t pay royalties to the band.

To force the removal of links selling counterfeit Led Zeppelin items, lawyers have ordered items using fake names to examine the quality of goods. They have also conducted online research to discover the addresses used by sellers.

Last month, New York lawyer Julie Guo of Aegis Legal AI wrote on LinkedIn about one of Led Zeppelin’s recent lawsuits.

“Music IP is becoming a new enforcement area,” she wrote. “The risk usually isn’t selling a song. It’s using protected names and marks — artist names, label names, album names, tour merch, and music-culture elements. Many of these are protected by trademark, and selling products that use them can trigger a suit.”

“Before listing, run a trademark check on any artist name, band name, album title, or music-culture element you’re using — and keep them out of your titles, keywords, and designs unless you’re licensed,” Guo addressed to online sellers.

I don’t care if they shut down the newer bootleg LPs. They’re all crap reissues anyway.
