Absolutely momentous day for me to meet John Paul Jones at @writingandideas. A total gent with a seemingly endless enthusiasm for music. I've transcribed his lines since I was a teenager. We chatted briefly about the influence Carole Kaye & James Jameson had on him. He was there to discuss his new opera 'Ghost Sonata' and collaborative intelligence among other things. After hearing some of the opera it's apparent that being one of the most influential bass players ever is only a very small tip of a very big iceberg. #johnpauljones #ledzeppelin #festivalofwritingandideas #carolekaye #jamesjamerson #bass #bassguitar
