Preparations are underway to release “Becoming Led Zeppelin” in the UK, Germany and Austria, LedZepNews can exclusively reveal.
A trailer for the film was rated on December 16 for screening in UK cinemas ahead of the film’s eventual release in the country, LedZepNews has found.
The online rating listing for the UK trailer published by the British Board of Film Classification suggests that Columbia Pictures, a division of Sony Pictures, will be the film’s UK distributor. No UK distributor has so far been announced for the film.
Film industry websites in Germany and Austria indicate that the film will be released in those countries on March 18, later than the February 7 release date for the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
On December 5, it was announced that “Becoming Led Zeppelin” will be released exclusively on IMAX screens in the US and Canada with early access screenings starting on February 5.
Allison McGourty, one of the film’s producers, told LedZepNews on December 5 that “we are looking forward to bringing the film to the UK fans and the release will be announced shortly.”
LedZepNews has also found details of the film’s Australia and New Zealand release, which will also take place on February 7. In those countries, however, the film also be screening on its opening day outside of IMAX screens.
