A new eBook covers Jimmy Page’s career after Led Zeppelin

A new eBook due to be published on May 19 covers Jimmy Page’s music career after Led Zeppelin.

“Outrider: Jimmy Page After Led Zeppelin”, a 112-page eBook by author and musician Eric Congdon, focuses on Page’s career from the 1980s onwards.

The book is available to order through Amazon and through Apple Books.

Congdon chose to cover this period in his book because it was “overlooked and under-appreciated,” he tells LedZepNews. “Jimmy was busier and more active than people remember.”

For anyone who hasn’t yet explored Page’s post-Led Zeppelin solo career, Congdon tells LedZepNews that he suggests they listen to “some of his cool instrumental work from the 80s.”

“‘Jam Sandwich’ from Deathwish 2, ‘Crackback’ from JPJ’s ‘Scream for Help’ soundtrack, ‘Emerald Eyes’ from Outrider,” he says.

Page has promised for years to return to the stage and release new music. Despite these claims, no new solo music from Page has surfaced.

Having written about Page’s solo career, does Congdon think it’s possible that Page may return to performing?

“It’s certainly possible,” he tells LedZepNews. “As far as new music, Jimmy’s been working on something, or was working on something. I’m not gonna speculate but he may just surprise us one day and sell direct from his website, I hope so.”

“Within the right context he might appear on stage, but it would be a one off thing like what he did for Link Wray at RnR HoF,” Congdon continues. “He likes surprising people and doing dramatic things, so he might. Again, I hope so.”

“Nothing would make me happier than having to update my book with a new chapter about a new release,” he adds.
