A cover of “When The Levee Breaks” that features John Paul Jones is getting a physical release on vinyl and CD on November 13.

Playing For Change, a nonprofit foundation that builds music and art schools around the world, released a cover of the Led Zeppelin song on YouTube in 2022 that included Jones as well as other musicians such as Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi.

That cover will appear on the new album Songs For Humanity that will be released on November 13.

The album is being made available on CD as well as vinyl. The physical release of the album will likely mean that the track featuring Jones will also debut on streaming services.

Update: This article was updated on September 25 to correct the name of the song covered by Jones and others that is being released on the album. It is “When The Levee Breaks”, not “Whole Lotta Love”.
