An interview with Jimmy Page about Led Zeppelin’s new official photo book aired on “CBS This Morning” on October 8.
In the interview, which was filmed at the National Portrait Gallery in London on September 24 during the band’s book launch, Page discussed Led Zeppelin’s early days and career.
“The last thing in your mind, really, is wanting to sort of stop and pose for photographs and we’d just get on with things,” Page said of the band.
At the end of the interview, reporter Charlie D’Agata asked Page whether he’d like to see Led Zeppelin reunite.
“Look, I have learned not to ask you about Led Zeppelin reforming,” he said.
“Mmm, yeah,” Page said.
“I’ve seen what happens when interviewers do that,” D’Agata added.
“Yeah, you see the subject’s face start to drop,” Page said, smiling.
“Would you like to see it?” the host asked.
“Well, I’d like to look at that video of us in 11 years ago at the O2, that’s … Celebration Day,” Page replied.
“You said that in the book, you said what a marvellous day it was,” D’Agata pointed out.
“Well, I’m pretty consistent,” Page said.
