Japanese bootleg label Tarantura has released what it claims is a previously unreleased soundboard recording of Led Zeppelin performing “Tangerine” in Tokyo, Japan on September 24, 1971.
A sampler CD titled “Arrest – Tangerine 924” released by the bootleg label contained the recording of “Tangerine”, suggesting further material from the recording may emerge in the future.
The cover of the sampler CD claims the recording originates from a “promoter recording on reel-2-reel”.
Online posts suggest that the “Arrest” sampler CD was given away as a bonus gift to customers who purchased ¥26,000 or more of Led Zeppelin CDs in one store in Japan.

Empress Valley, a separate Japanese bootleg label, previously released soundboard recordings of Led Zeppelin’s September 28, 1971 and September 29, 1971 performances in Osaka, Japan.
The releases began in July 2016 when “Black Dog” from September 28, 1971 was published on a sampler CD. An expanded recording of that show was released in January 2020.
A soundboard recording of the following night’s performance, September 29, 1971, was released by Empress Valley in October 2018.

Goosebumps as always
Robert plant and boys tearing it up classic
Plant’s ethereal voice and Page on acoustic.61 years old and still appreciate the magic of Zeppelin.
I saw them in 1973, in San Antonio. I was a senior in high school and drove up from Corpus Christi. Hard to believe it was almost 53 years ago.The concert was even better than I anticipated !!
I was at that concert too. I still live in San Antonio. I remember Page using a violin bow on his guitar. I also remember that projection on the wall of Hemisphere Arena. By the way, a few years later, I drove to C.C. to catch GRANFUNK RAILROAD, I think they called it Collsium.
The September 29,1971 show in Osaka is amazing. The fact my favorite band played a show on the day I was born is incredible. Jimmy Page is why I play guitar. Thanks to the mighty Zeppelin.
Tour! One for the angels ….
