John Paul Jones has been quietly working on a new film soundtrack with his band Snoweye, LedZepNews has learned.

Jones formed Snoweye in 2017 with Elle Márjá Eira and Lucy Parnell. The band has only performed a handful of times but has its own website and company incorporated in the UK.

Snoweye have recorded original songs for the soundtrack to the film “And Anne,” according to the film’s listing on IMDb, and the band appear on the film’s soundtrack courtesy of music publishing company Warner Chappell Music.

“And Anne” is a feature film seemingly set in Iceland that has been in production since 2019 but hasn’t yet been released. IMDb lists its runtime as 1 hour 48 minutes.

Here’s the film’s description from IMDb:

All her life Anne has gone completely out of her ways to absorb a traumatic experience from her late childhood. She creates an imaginary friend, Mani, the man in the moon himself, to build a reality around her that doesn’t burn like fire, isolating herself.

And here’s how director Tim Kaza describes the film on his LinkedIn profile:

Anne is the loneliest wedding photographer on the planet. So she sets out on an epic journey to find her one true friend; the man in the moon himself.

A collection of behind the scenes photographs of the film’s production were posted on Instagram by Kaza.

John Paul Jones has only performed a handful of times with Snoweye

Jones formed Snoweye in 2017 when the group performed together at the Ice Station Vadsø festival in Norway on June 22, 23, and 24.

Videos of the band’s June 24, 2017 performance are available here:

Snoweye’s only other performance was at Varangerfestivalen in Norway on August 11, 2018.

There was some initial local press coverage in Norway in 2017 when Snoweye was formed. Jones was interviewed by Norwegian television station NRK about the 2017 music festival as well as Snoweye, and was also filmed rehearsing with the band.

Jones and Eira also gave an interview to a Norwegian publication — but it’s behind a paywall and in Norwegian.

Eira was featured in the Playing For Change cover of “When The Levee Breaks” alongside Jones that debuted on a YouTube livestream on December 16. You can watch the performance in the video below from 23:47:

The band has its own official website featuring photographs of the band and the group set up a music publishing business in the UK in November 2019.

Company filings in the UK show that Jones, Eira and Powell each own a third of the shares of Snoweye Music Limited.
