Four members of Robert Plant’s former band The Sensational Space Shifters are reuniting for a performance on March 6, although Plant isn’t taking part.

Justin Adams, John Baggott, Dave Smith and Billy Fuller will perform together as The Free Four on March 6 in Frome, England, according to a Facebook post by Adams.

The four men were all part of Plant’s band The Sensational Space Shifters which he recorded and toured with from 2012 to 2018 before forming Saving Grace in 2019.

The only members of The Sensational Space Shifters missing from this upcoming show are Plant, Liam “Skin” Tyson, Juldeh Camara (who left the band in 2017), Seth Lakeman (who joined the band in 2017) and John Blease (who replaced Smith on drums in June 2018).

Adams and Baggott played with Plant for even longer, joining his earlier solo band Strange Sensation when it was formed in 2002.

Adams, Baggott and Smith previously performed together in Barry, Wales in December 2023 and on October 4, 2023.

Interestingly, Adams liked a comment on his Facebook post asking: “Might you be shifting space soon?” The guitarist didn’t respond to a comment asking whether the new group will play more shows following this appearance.
